ABOUT ME

My design journey began at the intersection of art, music, tradition, and modernity. As the art director at Müzik Köyü, a platform that brings together world music and cultural heritage, I created visual worlds that reflect the spirit of diverse cultures.

I spent many years illustrating for Bavul Magazine, a period that not only refined my visual language but also deepened my storytelling ability. I currently work as an illustrator for Kafkaokur Magazine, producing works that fuse literature and visual art.

Collaborating with some of Turkiye’s most prominent event organizers Siyabend Süvari, Ahmet San, and Burçin Gülbahar I have created visuals for festivals, concerts, and cultural projects. I have also designed posters for world-renowned musicians such as 50 Cent, Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa, and Robbie Williams.

The local music scene continues to be equally inspiring to me. I have designed album covers, concert posters, and festival visuals for leading Turkish artists including Aylin Aslım, Redd, Mor ve Ötesi, Büyük Ev Ablukada, Cem Adrian, Ceza, Teoman, Can Baydar, and Zülfü Livaneli. Beyond music, I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with major institutions such as Fenerbahçe.

One of my most valued contributions has been to the Anatolian Rock Revival Project (ARRP) an initiative that revives the legacy of Turkish rock culture and introduces it to the world through covers illustrated by some of the country’s best artists. By contributing to ARRP, I have helped enrich the project’s visual identity and bring this cultural movement to a global audience.

My approach to design goes beyond creating aesthetic visuals; I see it as a life motivation and a way to bring value to every partner I work with. My passion for font design and typography is an integral part of my work, while the precise and systematic influence of the German design school serves as a cornerstone of my creative inspiration.

The identity of my illustrations is shaped by music and works of Turkish literature. I integrate global design ideas, the visual language of different cultures, and worldwide trends into my creations, ensuring each project carries a unique and authentic voice.

TECHNIQUES I USE

I create my digital artworks using professional tools such as the Apple iPad Pro with Procreate and Wacom tablets. These devices allow me to work with precision, fluidity, and a natural drawing experience that closely mimics traditional techniques. My process often involves layering, custom brushwork, and fine detail rendering to achieve depth and texture. By combining technology with a strong artistic vision, I am able to produce vibrant, expressive illustrations that are both visually striking and technically refined.

In my traditional works, I carefully select paper with the ideal weight and texture to suit each drawing’s purpose. I often begin with time-honored pencils and tools that carry the essence of classical artistry, then complement them with the precision and versatility of modern drawing instruments. This blend of heritage and innovation allows me to create pieces that feel timeless yet fresh preserving the warmth of traditional craftsmanship while embracing the possibilities offered by today’s technology.

In my graphic design process, I combine digital illustration techniques with professional design software. To ensure visual consistency and create unique content, I capture any necessary photographs with my own camera, adding a personal touch to each project. I also harness the power of artificial intelligence to enhance both the efficiency and creativity of my workflow. By blending these elements, I produce work that is technically strong and visually compelling.
